Established in 2002, the Center for Judaic, Holocaust, and Peace Studies (CJHPS) at Appalachian State University provides educational opportunities and cultural events to students, teachers, and the community, promoting tolerance, remembrance, understanding, and respect for all human life.

Resource Center
Visit our library collections, located in 250 Anne Belk Hall on App State’s Boone campus, or explore our archive of digital recordings from past lectures and testimonials. All resources are available to the public.
Events and Conferences
The Center hosts a variety of cultural and educational programs open to the public and university community, including annual remembrance events, lectures and genocide survicor testimonials, and co-sponsored conferences.
Annual Symposium
The annual Martin and Doris Rosen Symposium for educators, students, and community members presents topical research, curriculum and classroom strategies, and peer support for successfully introducing and engaging learners in holocaust education and peace studies.
