Dr. Michael BerenbaumĀ is currently the director of the Sigi Ziering Institute and Professor of Jewish Studies at American Jewish University. He has also been the executive editor of theĀ New Encyclopaedia Judaica, a second edition of the monumental 1972 work, which now consists of 22 volumes. For three years, he was president and chief executive officer of the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. In addition, he served three years as director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and from 1988-93, he served as its project director, overseeing its creation. Dr. Berenbaum has authored and edited 16 books, scores of scholarly articles, and hundreds of journalistic pieces.
